A Bit About Me: I was 7 when my planet died. I can still recall it vividly. The tears, the pain, the screaming. The insanity of thousands of people desperately trying to get through the portals. Unknown to me at the time, we had no idea where they would really take us or what would happen when we got there. We just knew that if we stayed on Zynedia that we would die.

There were so many horrors I saw that day. So many who did not make it. Yes, human. I was just a little girl. But I'm not just a Kindred, k? I'm a Kindred Healer, and a prodigy at that. So yeah -- a lot of people died that day. Got that? One is too many. Anyway, where was I? Yeah, coming to Earth, right? Right.

Earth is so different from Zynedia. You humans are such weird beings, not being able to tap into Soul Energy. 'Cause of that, you need stuff like cars and bikes and busses. Us? We become spirit and fly. Better for convienence, and better for the environment. We really need to start teaching you.

I'm in my second year at Hycanth House. Since I'm already a Kindred, I did not have to wait for my 17th birthday for the Council to decide whether or not I would be Chosen. (They chose 17 based on Psychology tests; not just to avoid a lawsuit with the creator of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, btw. You don't float on your bed when you Awaken. Duh.) My best friend is Kesyl Savantino, our Prince and the future Lord of Storms. He is a Soul Weilder -- he can use what people are feeling to amplify his magic, a handy skill since he will one day be responsible for helping to control The Web. Our magic, dumb ass. Not the Internet. (Why do we learn so much about you stupid humans when you don't seem to know the most basic shit about us?)

Anyway, my life is pretty good. I will admit that I am kinda in luv with Kesyl's current Guardian, Jayden Lengton. I had Kess set me up to be his sister's room mate. Hopefully I can get some info about him from her. He does not know I am alive. It is muchly pathetic.

What I'm Reading: Scratching the Surface: A Study of the property of Earthen Flora and Fauna, Anatomy of the Spirit and Dark Guardian. (Just discovered 'the Dark series'. Interesting parallel to -some- aspects of our culture...)

The Best Thing About Hycanth House: Finally belonging here! I have been quite a fixture since my mother is one of the teachers. Don't think that lets me slack off: my Mom is every bit as tough as I am. We have to be.

The Worst Thing About Hycanth House: Having people treat me different because I have been here so long. Either they want a way to pass my Mother's course, they think I am a super nerd and I am constantly excluded, or they are avoiding me since I hang with Kess. Assholes.

Favorite Class (HH): Rituals and Rites (Advanced) (Knowing as much as I do about our culture, I feel it is extremely important to know how to carry out its customs, not just talk about them.)

Least Favorite Class: Kindred Culture 205 (Advanced). (You think I enjoy sharing a classroom with my Mom? Right. Do I love her? Yes. Do I love being in an environment where she is automatically always right, or where her mood about my choice in clothes today could effect the grade of one of my finals? Hell no.)

My goal righht now: Figuring out who kidnapped my brother and getting him back. And hopefully kicking their ass really hard along the way. I'll protect Kesyl until Jayden gets back and can take over.

A Bit About Me: I live in Summer Falls with my parents, Adam and Alberta. My best friend's name is Megan and we are both on the Summer Falls Cheerleading Squad together. My other best friend is Rebekkah, one of the "drama dweebs" as far as Megan is concerned. I'm one of the "Popular Kids" at Summer Falls High but I am popular because of stuff I do -- not 'cause I am nasty to other kids at school.

My best friend in the whole world is my older brother, Jayden. We are two years appart in age but we might as well be psychic. We have always been able to connect to each other -- to know if the other is in trouble, or if one of us is happy or majorly sad. Ever since we moved here to Summer Falls so he could attend Hycanth House that connection has seemed stronger then ever.

My parents are pretty cool. My dad is a police officer and my mom teaches at Summer Falls Elementry School. Aside from the occassional "Stay out of trouble!" or "Do you really think a C in Biology is acceptable?" we get along fine. Apparently I'm kind of a goody goody. I would have agreed with them up until a couple weeks ago, too. Its easy to be good when the decissions you are making are pretty much just for yourself.

But yeah, a couple weeks ago was when I turned 17. And when that happened something else happened, too. I was Chosen. You see, ten years ago when Y2K happened, all the PCs in the world did not explode. Oh, no. Nothing that simple happened. Instead they appeared. Aliens, or as they call themselves the Kindred. Whoever thought using an alternate name for Vampires as the translation for the name of their species was a real moron, by the way.

Anyway, they have made themselves right at home here on good old Terra Firma. And one of the things thwy have done, aside from build their own suburbs into many towns and cities, is to open Mystic Art schools. So yeah... Good bye, Summer Falls High. Hello, Hycanth House. But I guess its not all bad... I get to live a lot closer to mainstreet and all the shops, and I do get my own dorm room.
